Jordan was raised in Brooklyn, New York along with his four siblings. He attended Emsley A. Laney High School, where he involved in playing football, baseball, and basketball. As a senior, after averaging a triple-double, he was chosen for the McDonald’s All-American Team. Following that, he was recruited to a number of college basketball programs. Years later in 1981, he accepted North Carolina, basketball scholarship.

His professional career in basketball started when he was in the first season in NBA. His sensational shooting in the game brought him amazing fan following and also got him on the Sports Illustrated cover.

In 1984, he joined the Chicago Bulls and emerged as a star with his exceptional scores. However, in the beginning of 1993, he took an abrupt retirement from the basketball to pursue a baseball career. In January 1999, he filed for the retirement for the second time, yet returned back to NBA. Following the return, he played two seasons from 2001 – 2003 as a Wizards member. In his career, he has received prestigious accolades including NBA Finals MVP Awards, All-Star Game MVP Awards and NBA defensive player of the year award.

Besides basketball career, he also has performed product endorsements as Nike’s Air Jordan sneakers.
