Kei Nishikori was born on December 29, 1989 in Matsue in Shimane prefecture, Japan. He is a professional Japanese tennis player, and is currently ranked world No. 6 by the Association of Tennis Professionals.
He first started playing tennis was at the age of five. By 2001, he won the All Japan Tennis Championships for Kids. After graduation he moved to Florida to join the IMG Academy at the age of 14.
